Like many other religions and their respective art, Hindu art has evolved through different periods and manifests itself in conceptual sculptures, realistic paintings, and naturalistic photography. Today, Hindu art mainly comprises paintings, photography, and film. In modern art, Hinduism honors two artists as its favorites and most
                    accomplished:
                    • Although Sri K. Madhavan specializes in many forms of art, he is most known for his beautiful paintings and banners celebrating the gods. Some of these paintings and banners later became the backdrops in theatrical plays or the posters for movies. In a biography prepared by his grand children, Madhavan’s legacy is described in a few sentences: "The paintings of Gods of the Indian Divinity took vibrant forms in the art of Sri. Madhavan and almost all litho press of Sivakasi in Tamilnadu have the original painting of these forms, which has been reproduced to make religious prints, calendars, poster cards and other art forms to be enshrined in temples, houses and public halls and worshipped by the posterity."

                    • S. Rajam’s first taste of fame and appreciation came from his music career, when he composed music for many famous Bollywood movies depicting stories from Hindu texts. Later, S. Rajam transitioned into his true passion, painting and drawing, where he specialized in a self-created style based on Hindu traditions.
